What to Wear for an ATV Ride in Skopje (Checklist)
Shoes, layers, sunglasses or goggles? A short packing checklist for quad riding around Skopje — in summer heat, autumn mud and winter cold.
Off-road means dust in summer and mud the rest of the year. Dress for it and you’ll enjoy every minute.

You bring
- Closed shoes or boots — no sandals, no flip-flops.
- Long trousers — jeans or anything tough.
- A jacket or hoodie — it gets colder on the ridges than in the city.
- Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Mud washes off. Mostly.
- Water and sunscreen in summer.
- Phone — the views from Ramno are worth a photo.
By season
Summer: light long sleeves beat a T-shirt — dust and sun both bite. Autumn: layers. Cold start, warm middle, cold sunset. Winter: warm base layer, waterproof outer, thick socks.
